Robyn Synnott
Pelvic Health + Orthopedic Physiotherapist Yoga Teacher CYA-E-RYT500
Robyn Synnott aspires to help women learn to trust and appreciate their body, to empower them to take charge of their health, and to focus their treatment on what is most important to them. She also has a passion for helping infants to feed and bond with their mothers as well as helping children with pelvic health concerns. She has worked as a physiotherapist in the Halton region (Burlington, Oakville, and Milton) for the past 10 years. She began working as an orthopedic physiotherapist with a strong focus on osteopathic techniques and pain science. In 2014, she began to narrow her focus to women's health. Since then, she has completed extensive, specialized training in pelvic health. She operates a small practice, Ebb + Flow Wellness, within the calming space of Be Yoga, in Burlington. Recently, she is also offering treatments for infants and mothers to help with breastfeeding, and children with pelvic health concerns at Little Bird Pediatric Dentistry. Robyn has a special interest in helping women in their reproductive years to feel empowered and to have confidence in the strength that their body holds. She has focused her training in healthy menstrual cycles, fertility, pregnancy, labour/birth, postpartum, pain science, and breastfeeding support. Her training also includes methods to help infants with breastfeeding. She approaches treatment using a biopsychosocial-spiritual model of care that truly values the importance of the body, mind, and spirit and includes integrative medicine that addresses lifestyle factors that might be contributing to each clients concerns. Robyn is one of a select few Canadian physiotherapists that have gone through advanced skills training in labour and birth, and breastfeeding support. Robyn has extensive clinical experience in myofascial release and osteopathic techniques such as craniosacral therapy. She enjoys spending time with her husband, dog, and son; as well as yoga and hiking in her spare time. She loves to garden and cook. When she gets the chance, she loves to travel and explore new places and cultures
